- i am enjoying a new book from the library. i am reading princess academy by shannon hale.
- i feel so frugal & "green" every time i check a book out form the library. i love that.
- i have decided that sundays are perfect for church & a good, long nap.
- i am tired of this nasty cold. i feel miserable today.
- our family has had dinner at home every night since the start of the new year. this is huge considering how much time we spend in the car going from one sporting event/practice to the next. we are pretty proud of ourselves.
- i have not had a cold in like, two years.
- praying that this cold will get the clue & disappear. i don't have time for this.
- i really enjoyed helping in tanner & carters' classrooms today, despite feeling miserable.
- i feel like I have been bathing in purell.
- currently caught up on my {project life} photos. i know i am only one week into this project...i am still proud of myself :-).
- wondering why people think they can be so rude sometimes?
- i have scrapbooked 5 layouts since the start of the new year...hooray.
- 3 of those layouts were for my oct.-nov. gtkc...an even bigger hooray in my book.
- still haven't had a diet coke. that is 13 days w/out one. now that is a HUGE hooray.
- brody got a new haircut. he looks cute. if you ask him to show you that new hair cut, he bows his head & then pats the top of his head. so stinkin' cute.
- i am so happy for tanner & his soccer team. they won all of their games last weekend & are headed to the championships this coming weekend.
- my house is very quiet right now. john has all the boys & is delivering(or picking up) them to their various activities (soccer practice, bb practice, scouts).
- can i just say that i love my husband!
- i guess that is one thing a cold is good for, it got me out of chauffeuring the boys all over town tonight :-).
- dinner is in the crock pot, waiting for all of the boys to get back home. White chicken chili with cheese sprinkled on top. mmmmmmmmm good.
- i am looking forward to scrapbooking with the girls on friday night.
- you know i am sick when the laundry is piling up & i really don't care.
just another week in the life of raimi. i wouldn't have it any other way. okay, maybe the cold situation could be different!

thinking, spring cleaning & randomness
How is that for a title :-)? Kind of random huh? I have just been thinking a lot about life & the families each of us are given. I am so grateful for the little family that John & I are raising. So very thankful for the opportunity that I have to be their Mom. I carry a HUGE weight on my shoulders(on a daily basis) knowing that I am responsible for these little boys. I am in charge of making sure that they are given a good home & an even better upbringing. In the throws of life, this task can often seem very daunting. We get slammed with things from all directions. Things begging for our attention & time. We take it day by day. I am so grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who has great faith and trust in me, in hopes that I can raise these boys right. Along the lines of family, I am also so very grateful for the home that I grew up in. Thankful for wonderful, loving parents who gave me a stable home & lots of love. I was blessed to grow up in a home with a Mother & Father who taught me right & who simply led by example. I find great comfort knowing that I have 2 sisters & two brothers who will always be there for me. That's what family is about...having a connection with the people you love & respect. Again, I am just so very thankful for my family.
This past week has been a week filled with Spring Cleaning. I came across a blog that posts daily challenges & tips for cleaning certain rooms in your home. I have been on board & have accomplished so much. I have been cleaning & organizing the cupboards & drawers that are often over looked. It feels so good. Out with the old. With this challenge, they even have you take before & after shots of each area that you clean.
Here is an example. This is what I call our junk drawer. This is where my boys deposit their important school papers & folders. I use it to store place mats, linen napkins, & holiday themed dish towels. As you can see, the boys papers(and a few of my coupons) have taken over this drawer.

After 10 minutes of purging & throwing things out, I once again, have an organized drawer. I am really enjoying the process of Spring Cleaning & getting rid of the things that aren't needed. The things that add chaos & stress to my day.

I am accomplishing so much & am really feeling good about the changes & progress I am making in our home. So I have been thinking a lot about this concept, getting rid of the things that aren't needed. The things that may add stress or simply do not bring me happiness. I am going to take my spring cleaning one step farther. I am going ELIMINATE those things in my life that do not bring me happiness. The things that are not positive or uplifting. All of those things will be heading out to the trash where they belong. Oh, how I love spring & the encouragement it gives me to start clean & fresh!
In other news...my camera cord has been found. Happy days! I had even offered the boys a cash reward earlier this week. Who ever found the cord would receive $5.00. They looked for a minute or two & then quickly lost interest. Well, low & behold,Tanner found it today in his room. I have no idea how or why it was even in there. That little bit of information probably tells you that their room needs to be next on my spring cleaning spree. It is pretty bad :-). Life with boys!
I'll leave you with some photos from our field trip to the zoo.
I love this picture of Garrett. I have one of Carter from a few years back that looks very similar to this one.

All of the preschool pals were getting their photos taken with this prop & Brody wanted his taken too!

My little monkey loves to climb trees.

Have a wonderful weekend & don't forget to spoil your Mothers rotten. They so deserve it!

It has been a few days since my last post. I am trying so hard to stay caught up on my bloggin'. This seriously has become my journal, my spot to record the ups, downs & in betweens of our family. I am really enjoying the whole blog thing :-). I still have my trusty, black leather bound journal that houses deeper thoughts & feelings, things that are too personal to post on the family blog. We have had another great week. Here are a few highlights:
It is 90 degrees outside again. Hello, where did our spring go? The only sign of Spring I am seeing today is the Mama bird who has returned to our tree. You may have remembered my post from last Spring, we enjoyed the MAMA bird & her babies for a few weeks. Well, she is back & is perched pretty high up in her nest. I am guessing that we will see some babies any day now. It is pretty exciting.

I headed to San Fransisco on Saturday to see WICKED @ the Orpheum theatre. I went with a couple of friends & had the best time. The show was AMAZING! The cast was phenomenal, the music was fantastic & it was funny! I think I like it better than the original Wizrd of Oz. I hope to see it again before it leaves San Francisco. If you have not seen it, run & get your tickets NOW! You will not regret it.
I have been busy creating in my scrapbook room! During this process, I thought it would be fun to rearrange my room. It is a total wreck right now. I am trying to get rid of things or find homes for them. I will totally admit it, half the fun of scrapbooking for me is the shopping. I love paper, embellishments, ribbon, albums, etc...I am stating it right here, right now...I, Raimi will not purchase another piece of pattern paper no matter how cute or fun it is unless I am going to use it right then & there on a specific project. I will not buy it just because it is cute or the latest & greatest find in the scrapbook world at the moment. I need to use what I have. I could totally wallpaper the inside(and maybe the outside) of my home with the collection of pattern paper I have sitting in my scrapbook room. Amongst the mess of reorganization, I was able to create my project (2 little layouts) for National Scrapbook Weekend @ Green Tangerines. NSW is the first weekend in May. It really is a National day set aside for the scrapbookers of the world & what a party it is. Ladies come & scrap Fri.-Sun.. Everyone has a SUPER time. I am teaching that Saturday & I can't wait. We alwasy have a super group of ladies. I was also able to create last weeks Kit of the Week, birthday style. Again, this kit is available till they are sold out. I used Dasiy D's pattern paper, rub on's, & punch out die cuts for the title. Everything you see on the layout is included in the kit. All you have to do is create the layout by following the sample picture(included in the kit) & then plug your own photos in. I like to call it scrapbooking made easy.

I can't believe Brody's first birthday was almost a whole year ago. Time really does fly when you are having FUN!

We are loving park days. We are trying to squeeze in as many as we can before the HOT summer weather is here to stay. Garrett & Brody had so much fun down @ our neighborhood park. I love that they love to run around & play together.

I have been trying to get some reading in every day. It usually happens in bed right before I fall asleep. So depending on the day & how tired/not tired I am, determines how much I read. I really do love to read, I just wish I had more time in my day to do so. I always feel like I should be cleaning or doing laundry, not sitting on my tush reading a book. I think I just need to readjust my mind set :-)!
I'm still clipping my coupons. Today I scored 2 bottles of Dawn dish soap, 3 pkgs. of floss, 1 deodorant, & 1 Skintimate shaving cream for oh...about .38 cents. Woot-Woot! Oh, the power of coupons & register rewards @ Walgreens makes me happy -LOL.
I hope everyone is having a great week. As for my local friends, I hope you are staying cool. I finally caved & turned the AC on & up full blast.

Long time...no blog. I have every intention of blogging daily (that's a lofty goal, isn't it?) & then life just happens! I thought I would do, what I seem to do the best & that is a RaNdOm post of the things we are enjoying or making us crazy right now...you decide!
If you know Carter & have had any interaction with him lately, you would know that his 8th birthday is on March 11th (this Wed.). 8th birthdays are a pretty big deal @ our house. He will be baptized this Saturday as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He is so excited. I couldn't get him out of bed this morning, day light Savings has really thrown the boys for a loop(that & the fact that Tanner & Carter are trying out for the Select Soccer teams right now & playing baseball & practicing)this year. Anyway, Carter was not budging but as soon as I said his birthday was just 2 days away, he popped out of bed & said "is it really just two days away"?. He was so excited, you would have thought I had just told him he could open all of his presents 2 days early-LOL! Tanner had student council early this morning so we all piled into the car to take him. Mind you, the car ride to school is just two minutes if you hit the light right. I guess Carter just couldn't wait till we got home, he passed his notebook up to me & this is what I read:

I love how he wanted me to write him back. Sure, let me put the car on cruise control & I'll get right back to you Carter - so FUNNY!
My LO's have been posted on the Green Tangerines Flickr account for January's kit club. You can find my cards on pg. 2(the h-e-l-l-o card w/ circles is mine too-no name) & my layouts on pages 4 & 5.
Check them out here.
Click on Kit Club & then click on gallery.
I just turned in my Feb. Kit Club samples. My Tan-Man layout is one of my favorite layouts ever...am I allowed to say that? I loved working with all of the product in this kit. Kinsey did an amazing job picking out paper, ribbons, embellishments, etc..
I heart the Feb. kit club :).
Garrett is loving his sunglasses. I found them @ DI for .50 cents...best .50 cents I have ever spent. He keeps asking if he looks cool in his sunglasses.

In case you can't tell...we are enjoying the California sunshine & my neighbors house is STILL for sale. Somebody please buy it!
It wouldn't be a perfect week for me if there wasn't some time for coupon shopping.I scored some super deals this week. I purchased 5 boxes of cereal for $2.75 (that included the tax)@ Safeway. I actually did this deal 3 times. My boys go through cereal like you would not believe.

I hit Walgreen's this morning & look what I scored for about 2 dollars & some change.
Yes! You read that right...2 dollars & you do see two pkgs. of diapers there & WIPES!. I paid 1 dollar for the wipes & another dollar for the 2 cans of Ajax, everything else was free after the coupons & the $10.00 Register Reward I received.

So grateful for my friend Laina & the time she takes to post super deals on her site. Thanks Laina...you ROCK!
This is this weeks KOW @ Green Tangerines.

I just happened to have random pictures on John & I on my desk but you could totally use family pictures or pictures of you & your kids. This kit went on sale last Thursday & is available till it's gone. It was a fun one to create.
(sorry for the blurry picture, I was in a hurry to head home).
Have a happy Monday & don't forget to find the things in your week that make you happy!

playing catch up
I have had a super busy week. Coming down off of my fabulous scrapbook weekend with not alot of sleep & then jumping into the Kit club kitting party several times in the last week left me with little or no time to snooze. We pulled an all night-er on Wednesday & were able to finish just in time. This is a little peek into the kitting sweatshop- umm I mean workshop(I snagged this off Kinsey's blog-hope you don't mind Kins :).
There was lots of hard work. Lots of giggles & fun. I really do enjoy my job & the friends I work with.
Happy to report that we were able to get our kits kitted & ready to move out the door. Very exciting times for Green Tangerines & I am so happy to be a part of it. Some of the Green Tangerines crew has been down @ the Costa Mesa Expo this weekend debuting our kits & I can't wait to hear all about it.
On the home front, we have enjoyed making Valentine boxes.

Tanner was told to bring a shoe box that they could decorate in class(love those kind of assignments). This is what he made. Isn't it so cute? It is so Tanner! I love it!
We had fun addressing Valentine's &

making Valentine sugar cookies.

I about died when I listened to a message that was left for us on Friday afternoon. It was a little girl from Tanner's class telling him to check the porch & then to please call her back. This is what Tanner found.

The note on the inside was addressed to:
My valentine Tanner, from your Valentine!
It was very sweet. I was totally trying to not make a big deal about the whole thing. Tanner was embarassed but was so polite & gracious when he called her back to thank her. H-E-L-L-O !!! He is in the 4th grade. What will high school be like?
We also attended 3 basketball games on Saturday!

{Carter is # 2}. Both Tanner & Carter had AMAZING games today. Tanner had a break out performance. He was simply amazing on the court. Started the game off with a basket in the 1st 10 seconds & did not stop. His offensive & defensive game was on fire. Carter went on a shooting spree on the court. He even sunk a 3 pointer today. It was so much fun watching them do their thing on the court. I was one proud Mama.
Valentine's day was crazy. We attended (the above mentioned)basketball games plus Garrett's game, did our weekly grocery shopping, John reffed 7 games, & I managed the boys. My sweetheart managed to suprise me with a JUMBO heart balloon & a very sweet card. Then, later that day, in the mail I received another Love note from him with an itunes gift card tucked inside. It was very sweet & such a suprise. He kind of laughed about it & said "it has taken me 12 years to figure out that you would probablly love a piece of snail mail from me". LOVE it, indeed I did. I thought it was very thoughtful & sweet. Thanks sweetie!
We hope your month has been filled with the people you LOVE & the things that make you smile.

randomness - Raimi style
I have no business blogging right now :). I need to start & finish my thoughts/talk for my Grandma's funeral this Saturday. My Dad called on Tuesday & asked if I would like to speak, to represent the Grand kids. I will tell you right now that it is a good thing that I am speaking before my Mom. I know I will already be a mess but if I had to follow my Mom, it would be a disaster. She is a wonderful public speaker & usually brings me to tears @ some point during her talks. Here I am blogging, avoiding getting my thoughts in order. I am nervous to commit it to paper. I have so many things flying through my head, so many things I want to say. I want to say them in a way that everyone knows & feels how I feel. So...instead of making a commitment to paper right now, here is a glimpse at our week :).
- I was able to clean up my scrapbook room(another thing I did to avoid getting my thoughts down). Needed to get that room in order, a fresh space to begin creating.
- Have you seen the Green Tangerines blog lately? Exciting news at Green Tangerines. check it out HERE. Scroll one post down to read all about the exciting news.
- I found these cute shoes for Brody @ Old Navy. He got to play in them today!
- I am enjoying the rain. Kind of makes it feel more like January...imagine that!
- my good friend Stephanie showed up on my porch with this cute rice bag. She made it, using flannel polka dot fabric. I LOVE it! It is filled with rice & you place it in the microwave for a minute or so & then you can use it like a heating pad. I need to take a photo of it & add it to this post. Thanks Steph, you are the best.
- Kinda bummed that I am not at CHA with Kelly, Paula, & Brandi! Okay, I am REALLY bummed, not kind of... but REALLY bummed. I can't wait to hear all about it. In hind site, it is a blessing in disguise that I didn't go. Grandma's funeral is on the day I was to depart for LA. My pal Marie Osmond is even debuting her new craft collection(tote bags & organization pieces). Paris Hilton will be there too!!! Can you believe that girl is launching a line of scrapbook items with her name on them -blah!!!
- Here is Garrett predicting the weather for us.
Gotta love preschool & all of the fun things he gets to make.
- I need to hide this candy jar. Brody is constantly dragging the kitchen chairs over to the counter & picking out treats for himself. His favorite is 5 @ a time.
- Just found out that my Grandma Pung was in the hospital & nobody in our family received a phone call letting us know that she was there. Wishing her a speedy recovery. I will call you in the morning Gram!
- Okay, seriously! I did not vote for this guy for President but I could not feel anything but great pride to be an American as I watched TV on Tuesday!
Tanner came home from school sick on Inauguration day. We were able to watch a piece of history in the making right in our own family room. Again, so thankful & proud to be an American. Saying lots of prayers on his behalf.
- Loved having my hubby home today! We are getting ready to attend Grandma's viewing/funeral. I am so grateful for his constant support & help around the house & with the boys. It has made today a little better.
- We a had homemade Chicken Pot pie for dinner. It was the perfect rainy day kind of meal. It was so easy to make & very tasty.
CHICKEN POT PIE
Pie Crust (I used the Pillsbury pre made crust)
1 small bag of mixed vegetables(corn, peas, carrots)
2 chicken breasts, boiled & cut into chunks.
3 TBS. of butter
2-3 TBS. of flour
1 small can of chicken broth
salt & pepper to taste
Boil chicken the night before or morning of. Let cool & cut into bite size chunks.
Bake pie crust according to the pkg.. Let cool.
In a sauce pan, melt butter, add a pinch of salt & the flour. Stir together until it sticks together. Add a little bit of chicken broth, a little at a time & stir till flour butter/mixture is dissolved. You will end up using the entire can. I used my whisk to help dissolve the flour/butter consistency. I believe this is called making rue(sp?). Kind of like making a white sauce. Once your sauce is done, pour it into a bowl with your vegetables & chicken chunks. Stir together & bake according to your pie crust Instruction. Our pot pie took about 20 minutes to cook on 450 degrees. Enjoy!
- Look @ this sweet boy getting ready to say the blessing on the food.
He totally folds his arms, bows his head & says AMEN! So cute!
Okay, I have put it off long enough. I am off to get my thoughts down on paper. Maybe I will watch Grey's Anatomy first :). Send good vibes my way!
Have a happy Friday!
Another busy week/weekend @ our house!
Here we go:
-Carter enjoyed his pizza party with his soccer team. John was the coach again this year. The team had another undefeated season. They boys played so well! They really got it this season & played their positions. I finished 13 soccer albums (one for each boy) just in time for the party! Here is a glimpse of what they looked like. i used clear acrylic for the front & back covers & bound them with 1 in. rings. That way, they can add more photos if they want too. I kept them pretty simple this year & let the photos be the focus.

-Tanner & I drove to Fairfield yesterday for his soccer game. His team tied 3-3. Tanner scored a goal & played so well. We missed you Gram...Mom & Dad said you were @ the Stanford game. Tanner was bummed that we didn't get to visit with you.
-My newest obsession(like i need one more) is Face Book. Do you use Face Book? If so, let me know & I'll add you as a friend. It has been a blast receiving emails from friends from the past. Some of them have been friends of mine since grade school. So much fun!
- I woke up on Saturday morning(@ 5 am) to an electric toothbrush in my face. Yes it was even on. Mr. Brody has learned to crawl out of his crib this week & I guess he wanted to brush his teeth-LOL-UGH! Needless to say, it scared the daylights out of me. Can we we say baby gate????
- TWILIGHT is only 5 days away! I am going to see it with the girls from green tangerines! I can't wait. I hope it lives up to the book & all the hype.
-Starting tomorrow, my boys are on vacation from school for 2 weeks. Yes, you read that right...two whole weeks. i am going to have to plan some fun day-cations.
-We are so proud of Tanner. He enjoyed a breakfast @ school on Friday morning. He was recognized for his straight A's. This boy makes me proud. He tries so hard to do his best. Way to GOOOOOOO Tan-Man!
Looking forward to a new week. Hope you have a Happy Monday!

random tidbits
We enjoyed a busy, crazy week. i thought i would highlight our experiences/happenings random style.
first & for most, i am very happy that Prop 8 passed. On the other hand, I am very sad & disappointed with those who think it is okay to vandalize our church buildings. Somebody thought it was okay to spray paint no on prop 8 with red paint on our building & the sidewalks. Enough is enough, this is so not acceptable & it makes me so sad. Again, tolerance is a two way street.
I was so excited when my total gas bill(filling up a Chevy Tahoe)was $59.53 on Friday. WOOT-WOOT! Need i say more?
I was able to attend Carter's harvest party. They had a Thanksgiving feast. I will have to post photos later. The room mom even made them cute pilgrim & indian hats to wear. So cute & festive. they enjoyed a full turkey meal and arts & crafts...my kind of party.
As of last Friday, my 12 week Race to a Waist challenge ended. While i was not the 1st place loser, i did manage to lose 25 lbs. i am extremely happy about that. i came in 6th place out of the 25 women who registered...not bad. We are going to start up another challenge in jan.. I will keep you posted just in case any of you want to join in on the fun!
One of my favorite friends in the whole wide world came to visit me on friday night. Michelle came up & we attended Scrappy Hour @ Green Tangerines. it was so much fun to have her here. i sure do miss her & wish we lived closer. I am trying to convince her that they need to buy the house that is for sale next door. That would be awesome.

We had our family photos taken on saturday. i am praying that there is one decent shot of everyone. i need a Christmas card photo. Brody did not want to hold still & Garrett was flashing one CHEESE-EY SMILE the entire time. Fingers are crossed. We finished our shoot just in time...It started to pour rain.
Soccer Saturday was fabulous. Tanner's team won 6 to 0. Tanner scored two of those goals & I even caught one of them on film. I love this shot. That is Tanner, #14. I love how he is off the ground celebrating & that you can see the ball in the goal. So exciting.

Carter's team won 2 to 0. Carter scored a goal. john was so impressed with his team. He said they played awesome & were playing their positions & passing the ball. Carter is in the white jersey in the photo below! Thanks to Regine for the awesome photos.

I have been busy making little scrapbooks for Carter's soccer team. 8 down, 5 to go. John will hand them out along with the boys trophies @ the team party on the 12th. I will post pictures once they are complete.
I had a very productive planning meeting for our church Christmas party tonight. we are buckling down & planning the festivities for our Nativity pageant and dessert bar. it should be a fun evening. I have a great committee & I am thankful for their help!
I am off to work on Soccer albums. Stayed tuned for my coupon post tomorrow. i scored a major deal this weekend. Don't forget to check out Laina's site. She is posting deals everyday...perfect for all of the upcoming holidays & baking.
Have a happy Monday!

Randomness
I have just figured that the random posts are how I am going to stay caught up in the blogging world :). So much to say & not a ton of time to blog about them.
I started my morning off by hitting my local Walgreen's. Laina posted an incredible free/money maker deal for Walgreen's. It was all about the cleaning supplies today! I love cleaning supplies! I know...call me weird. When John & I got married, my Grandpa Shore gave us a 1 gallon/Costco size bottle of Windex with a card & $100.00 bill attached. Boy does he know me well :).Check out what I scored for free.

I printed the coupons from this site http://www.rightathome.com/offers/OctCoupons/Default.aspx.
If you take these coupons into Walgreen's, purchase your cleaning supplies, redeem coupons @ register, save your receipt & send away for your rebates=free products. Your local Walgreen's should have a Easy Money Saving booklet. All of the cleaning supplies are listed in that booklet & after you send away for your rebate, your supplies are FREE! I am loving these little shopping challenges. I think I am becoming obsessed! Thanks Laina. Please see Laina's site for more details & how to's.
Mr. Brody learned how to get out in the backyard all by himself. I was curling my hair this morning & realized the house was way too quiet. I went to look for him & this is what I found:

He had used his dump truck to reach the lock on the slider. He unlocked the door & headed outside. This is where I found him.

He was one happy boy jumping on the trampoline. We won't talk about the butter dish he climbed up onto the counter to get. This is just my life right now :).
Have I mentioned what wonderful friends I have? I received this piece of happy mail in last nights mail.

My dear friend Steph sent me this card in the mail. I love getting snail mail, it made my day. Thanks Steph.
Our family was BOO'ed last night. My boys were so excited. SHHHH...don't tell my neighbors but we BOO'ed them & they Boo'ed us right back-LOL! My boys love this Fall tradition.

I hesitate in even posting this...I am always afraid I will jinx myself-LOL. As of this morning, I have lost 19 pounds. I was just a few ounces shy of hitting the -20 lb. mark. I am so excited & so proud of myself. After 4 babies in an 8 year span, it is time to focus on myself again. I entered a contest, Race to a Waist 8 weeks ago. I would link you to the site but it is just for the members who registered. I have 4 more weeks to shed as much weight as I can. The grand prize is $500.00 cash. That $500.00 cash would come in handy...but most of all, I am so pleased with the 19 pounds I have lost. Cash or no cash, I will continue to work on this after the challenge is over. This challenge was just what I needed. So please cheer me on so I don't jinx myself for putting this out for the public world to see :).
We are looking forward to the weekend! Only one soccer game to attend tomorrow...woot-woot! Hope your weekend is a happy one!

Our week...randomness style
We have had a very relaxing weekend! So much so that I have stayed in my pj's all day long. I love when it is a General Conference weekend. These kind of weekends seem very few & far between...but I sure am LOVING it! Here is a little randomness from our week/weekend!
First off, can I just say "I LOVE FALL". This is the first weekend it finally felt cool. I wore a long sleeved zip up sweatshirt on Friday & even wore jeans(not Capri's) yesterday morning to the soccer game. I think it time to pull out the Fall decorations. This is my all time favorite season.
I was able to scrapbook on Friday night with friends @ Green Tangerines. We were able to scrapbook from 5pm to midnight. I totally meant to bring my camera but forgot. I was able to get two Christmas presents (well) underway & that feels good. I have decided that all of the Christmas crafting will be done by Dec. 1st. I really want to enjoy my holidays this year.
Soccer Saturday was fabulous! We had two 9 am games. While I did not get to watch Carter play, both games were done by 10 am-YAY! I think that contributed to the relaxing weekend. Carter's team won 4 to 0 & two of those goals were Carter's. Way to GO Carter. You can click on each photo to make them bigger, I am not sure why they are so small.

Here is the team banner that John designed. He then had a company in Long Beach make it. It turned out AWESOME!

Tanner's team had another loss, 6 to 0. The boys were so bummed. Tanner played REALLY well. He had 3 of the 4 shots on goal & they were so close to making it in the net. I was proud of him & his determination.
Brody started shrieking during the soccer game yesterday! I took him for a walk around the perimeter of the field & he was being so funny I had to snap a few photos. This is what I get when I say "smile":

or sometimes I will get this:

If you ask him where his head is, you will get this:

If you ask him about his ears, you get this. You pray he shows you his ears & not your own(he pulls pretty hard -lol).

I love this baby boy, shrieking & all.
I made $236.00 @ the Green Tangerines Trash to Treasure sale last weekend! I am so stoked. That is $236.00 worth of store credit @ the scrapbook store & $236.00 worth of "STUFF" out of my scrapbook room. Gotta love that!
I walked on my treadmill for 85 minutes last night. I was able to catch the Notebook on TV & it made my walking time go fast. The Notebook is one of my all time favorite movies.
Tanner has been bugging,I mean asking me to help him create a soccer binder. He wants a place to keep his schedules, game plans, & photos. We have made two trips to the scrapbook store to pick out paper, embellishments & an album. This is what we have worked on so far.

He picked out the photos, helped place gingham ribbon down the side & then I helped him adhere the photos to the cover of his album. He then Mod Podged the entire thing & once it dried he added epoxy soccer stickers. He is doing an awesome job. He keeps saying "lets go back to your scrapbook room to work on my book". Too funny! He is so like me...once I start something, I want to work on it until it is complete.

I can't wait to pick up the Sunday paper. We don't get the paper delivered so I have to wait till tomorrow. I can't wait for my money saving assignment this week. I will keep you posted. Okay, i think that is enough randomness for one post. Are you still reading @ this point-lol? If so, what did you do this weekend? Have a great week!
