It is sneak week over on the Green Tangerines Kit Club blog. My layout was highlighted today and I thought I would share it her, on my blog. The November kit(not yet released)is filled with yummy Fall colors. This is one kit that you don't want to miss out on. Here is my take on the sketch(it will be included with your kit). You can check out what the other PBD Girls have done here.

Uesugi Farms
The October 2011 Green Tangerines Kit Club has been released. Grab your kit now :-). I love the colors in this kit. Perfect for Fall photos...perfect for Summer photos(I will share that one next). I created 4, double page layouts with my kit. I was even able to scrap photos from '04. Super excited to have some old school photos(that is baby Garrett in the photos) scrapped and in the family album. Looking at these photos makes me miss Uesugi farms in the Bay Area. It was our favorite Bay Area patch. There are yellow and orange marigolds everywhere with pumpkins sprinkled in. It is beautiful. These photos also made me miss our wonderful friends, the Deakins. My, how our children have grown!

Happy Birthday to You
Here is my latest Green Tangerines Kit Club layout(you can find the other girls layouts here). Back in July, my sweet, sweet friend Meridee let us all know that she was coming to town. We jumped at the chance to have dinner with her. Knowing that her birthday was just a week away, we decided to make it a birthday dinner while we had her here. It was so very nice to see, hug and visit with her. She is just one of those good souls...such a wonderful friend!

back to school...back to reality
Summer has ended. I was(still am) in denial, big time. So the boys have been back in school for just about a week and a half now and I am just getting around to blogging about it. I was so sure that once they went back to school, I would have all of this free time. Who was I kidding :-)? I have felt 100 times busier(in a good, busy kind of way)this school year. The first day of school went off without a hitch. I attended the 5 am Fit Club class to ensure I didn't miss my workout. I came home and made German pancakes for everyone while the boys got ready. We had to take the traditional 1st day of school photos. I can't believe we have a 7th, 5th and a 2nd grader.
There were notes tucked into the lunch boxes/bags. There were new shoes/clothes/school supplies. There were flowers for the teachers. There were gifts for the teachers. There were happy boys, ready for a new year, with new teachers and friends!
We are looking forward to a wonderful year with lots of growth, new memories and fun adventures.
p.s. Just in case you are wondering, the scrapbook layout has already been created. Here is this weeks Kit of the Week for Green Tangerines. These kits are now available. You can call and purchase yours at 916-771-8010.

Baby Brody
Say what? I know! I know! Baby Brody isn't a baby anymore...but I am pretty sure he will always be my Baby! It makes me sad that he is growing up so fast. I took him to the Dr.'s yesterday, for his yearly check up. He was almost at the %100-tile for his height. The Dr. told me that he will be over 6 feet tall. That piece of information was music to his Dad's ears. John is hoping to get a basketball(his sport)player out of one of the four.
It is hard to believe that this cute little munch was once a baby and this little. This is another layout that I created using the June Green Tangerines Kit Club. Once again, I loved that the pattern papers in this months kit were perfect for these photos and I REALLY loved that this layout only took me 25 minutes to create, from start to finish. Another layout for the 2007 album. Hurray!

June sneak
My June assignments for the Green Tangerines Kit Club kit are complete. I had fun playing with this months kit. There are lots of letter stickers for titles, sub titles and journaling. I loved the options. The color combos are playful and were easy to create with. Here is a look at my take on this months sketch(included in this months kit).

You can see what the other talented ladies created (using the same exact sketch) here.
I will post the rest of my creations in a few day. What I loved most about this June kit was that it inspired me to scrap some old photos...photos that had been saved for the perfect paper or inspiration. I used photos from 2004 for 2 of the layouts and photos from 2007 for the other. It feels so good to have those layouts created and better yet, have to those memories recorded and ready for our family albums.

Sneaks
I feel like I have been playing catch up...ever since the boys enjoyed their 2 week Spring Break.
The sneak peeks for the May Green Tangerines Kit Club have been up over on the GTKC site. You can check them out and see what the other designers did here.
This is my version of this months sketch.
These are the beautiful girls that I get to work with at church. Being a Mama to all boys, I consider myself over the top lucky to rub shoulders with these girls.I think they are absolutely amazing. I am so proud of the Young Women that the are. They are smart, talented, kind, athletic, thoughtful, service oriented, beautiful and FUN!

The Green Tangerines May kit is full of yummy goodness. Lots of fun pattern papers, cardstock, Alpha stickers, and embellishments(and custom embellies). If you are interested in this kit, you can call Green Tangerines at 916-771-8010 to get your hands on yours.

and...i love him so
old photos + the new March GTKC goodies = love. I have been on a 2007 scrapbooking kick. I opened the photo 2007 boxes(I have two of them)and was baffled as to why there were so many photos that hadn't been scrapbooked. Then it dawned on me, I had had a new baby in May of 2007 and three other children to take care of. I am pretty sure that is the reason that I didn't do much scrapbooking in 2007. While I didn't get alot done, I am thankful that I did take a million photos to catch glimpses of this little cutie pa-tootie. They grow up entirely too fast *sigh*.

Month in the life of US
As promised( a few days late), here is my last layout using the February Kit of the Month from Green Tangerines. I must mention, that I still have a ton of prodect left over to keep creating with this kit and that's a bonus for me! I often find myself creating layouts like this. I like to highlight our week and our months. It frees me from feeling like I have to create layouts for every event/photo in our lives. Lets be honest, I know that it would never happen :-). Thesse type of layouts are really working for me right now and I am loving them.

Kit of the Month
Here are my February Green Tangerines Kit Club layouts. This months kit was fun and easy to work with. Vibrant, fun colors...perfect for just about any of the photos in my stash.
First up, I Want you to Remember. Our sweet friend, Mer took these photos. They are some of my favorite photos with my boys. The journaling(top left corner) is all about the things I want them to remember(that they are loved, they are children of God, that I love them, that they always need to do their best).

The next layout is Mr. Garrett working/playing with his tools. I sanded the letters on the title with my Basic Grey files...so fun and kind of messy. Sanding the edges of my letters allowed me to place those yellow Thickers on the yellow cardstock and still have them stand out. I am just happy to have these photos (from 2007) scrapped and ready for the scrapbook.

I will be back tomorrow with my 3rd layout, using product from the February kit.

latest creations
Believe it or not, I have completed a few layouts since the beginning of the new year. The weekly KOTW's and Green Tangerines Kit Club layouts are keeping me going right now. Here are a couple of my most recent layouts(these are all KOTW's).
These can be purchased for $8.00 from Green Tangerines. You can call the store at 916-771-8010. We supply the idea and supplies. You create your layout and add photos...easy peasy!

Over the last 15 years, I have tried just about every tip, trick, latest trend, and the latest and greatest gadgets/products as far as the scrapbook world goes. There are a few things I have learned about myself and my hobby. I love color. I love clean lines. I am a pretty simple scrapper. I want my photos to be noticed before all of the other things I have placed on my layouts. I want my family to feel/know my love for them through my layouts. I am a big believer in journaling on my layouts...at least the who, what, where and when. But most of all, after 15 years, I still love to scrapbook and record our memories.
I will be back in a day (or two) with my latest Green Tangerines Kit Club layouts.

It's B-A-C-K
The Green Tangerines Kit Club is back! New kits will be launching in January 2011...very soon AND very exciting! All of the PBD girls have turned in their layouts and you can get sneak peeks over on the GTKC blog. There is even a contest to win a prize. Check it out here, leave a comment and I'll keep my fingers crossed that you'll win.
My THEY MAKE ME HAPPY layout is up as the 1st sneak peek for the January kit.

Again, I love how versatile the GTKC product is. I was able to create 3 very different layouts with one kit AND I still have a ton of product left over.
I'll be back tomorrow(hopefully) with some Christmas fun! I hope everyone is enjoying this Christmas season and all that it beholds,

I am pretty sure I say this every month...and I will say it again! I love how versatile the monthly Green Tangerines Kit Club product is. So far, I have been able to create 3 totally different layouts (with one in the works) with just one kit. You can see the others in the posts below.
Here is my latest creation using the April/May kit. If the pictures look familiar, they are. I scrapped our most recent Girls Night Out, Summer concert style.

Oh these pictures are making me want to hit up another summer concert with these girlie's :-). Girls, who are we seeing next :-)?

and another one
Here is another double page layout that I created. Once again, I used my April/May GTKC goodies. I wanted to create a layout that summed up our Spring. I highlighted(with photos) a few of our favorite Spring activities. The ones with photos on the layout were John's birthday, park days, baseball season & the beautiful Spring blossoms. I then included one/two words that highlighted other Spring activities that were not included by the way of photos. I am loving the October Afternoon pattern paper. I cut around the circles on each side and kinda like the border it created for my layout.

I be back later, with another GTKC layout. Enjoy!

finding my groove
I have had this yummy box of scrapbook supplies {Green Tangerines Kit Club-May 2010} sitting here on my studio table...staring at me. I have opened the box at least 50 times, trying to find my groove. I love it all...the colors are happy ones. I have been wanting to play and create with it. I am sad to report that it has sat here, untouched for almost two weeks. I know...G-A-S-P, right?!
This is literally the craziest time of the year. It rates right up there with the Christmas season in my book. We have been busy playing/watching baseball games, wrapping up Art Docent lessons(times two classrooms),setting up for the Art Show, birthday parties, the school carnival, appreciating our wonderful teachers for an entire week, attending back to school night, creating fun handouts for my girls each Sunday, planning/helping with the end of the school year parties...and the list goes on.
I was determined to get one layout done yesterday and I did. I am hoping to create another one tonight. I am posting my intentions here on my blog so I will be committed to do so. I will report back tomorrow :-)...or maybe Saturday morning. I get to see Lady Antebellum and Tim McGraw in concert tomorrow night...so excited. My fingers are crossed in hopes of sunshine and a little warmth.

What are you scrapping these days?
