Fun on the Fourth

We had a fabulous 4th of July. Forget the apple pie, the boys enjoyed their favorite All American treat...the Slurpee. We played in the water, enjoyed a yummy BBQ dinner, and the fireworks are always a hit. Brody is still not a fan of the loud noises that those fabulous fireworks produce but at least he wasn't holed up in the car watching them this year. We can't let this holiday(or any other day) pass by without expressing how very grateful we are for the men and women who serve our country on a daily basis. Their service allows us to live in this great land and to enjoy the many freedoms that we do. So very grateful and thankful.

This is this weeks Kit of the Week at Green Tangerines. I am happy to report that those are photos from this years 4th of July, all scrapped. Am I allowed to say "go me?"

There are kits available for this layout at Green Tangerines. All you have to do is provide your own photos and purchse the kit and you can get your 4th of July photos scrapped in a heartbeat.

latest creations

Believe it or not, I have completed a few layouts since the beginning of the new year. The weekly KOTW's and Green Tangerines Kit Club layouts are keeping me going right now. Here are a couple of my most recent layouts(these are all KOTW's).
These can be purchased for $8.00 from Green Tangerines. You can call the store at 916-771-8010. We supply the idea and supplies. You create your layout and add photos...easy peasy!

Over the last 15 years, I have tried just about every tip, trick, latest trend, and the latest and greatest gadgets/products as far as the scrapbook world goes. There are a few things I have learned about myself and my hobby. I love color. I love clean lines. I am a pretty simple scrapper. I want my photos to be noticed before all of the other things I have placed on my layouts. I want my family to feel/know my love for them through my layouts. I am a big believer in journaling on my layouts...at least the who, what, where and when. But most of all, after 15 years, I still love to scrapbook and record our memories.

I will be back in a day (or two) with my latest Green Tangerines Kit Club layouts.

merry and bright

Here is this weeks, Kit of the Week...merry and bright. It can be purchased at Green Tangerines. For my friends who attended the breakfast with Santa last week, this layout will match nicely with any photos you may have taken. I have to give photo credit to my friend, Mer. She and her cute little family joined us for a morning of fun...breakfast, jammies, bed head, Christmas songs and performances and a visit from the old jolly man himself. She took these fabulous photos of our sweet kiddos. It was a super fun way to kick off my December...just what I needed.
As usual, you can call the store to order your kit (916-771-8010) or swing by and pick one(or two or three...perfect to give as a gift to your scrapbook friends) up.

KOTW

Here is the Kit Of The Week that was released today at Green Tangerines. Kelly(my boss) handed me the green Cosmo cricket pattern paper & asked "do you have soccer pictures & can you make a soccer layout with this paper"? Do I have soccer pictures...only by the memory cards full :-)! I am always up for the challenge. Away I went with my pattern paper & a few supplies. Here is a peek at what I came up with.

In this weeks kit, you will find Bazzill cardstock, Cosmo Cricket pattern paper, Thickers by American Crafts, Fuzzy brads, hand cut stars(yes, you read that right, hand cut), and a custom soccer ball die cut.

A HUGE shout out to Mer. She designs these lovely little peeks at the KOTW's for all the scrapbooking world to see. She is over the top talented. I wish she had a blog so I could link you all to her amazing work...hopefully some day soon!

While I am on the topic of scrapbooking & Green Tangerines, here is another peek for you! This is this months kit. It is amazing! It is packed with yummy pattern papers, fun embellishments, cute ribbons & so much more. Check it out!

Word on the GTKC blog is that the product found in this months kit hasn't even hit the floor at GT. Kit Club members are getting a go at it FIRST. How awesome is that? I am hoping to dig into my kit tomorrow during Brody's nap. If you want more info about the GTKC, call the store at 916-771-8010.
