Deck the Halls
Okay, this is the only thing I have decked so far :) & it is not even complete. A few of you have asked to see the stockings I made for my family a year or so ago. These are Primitive stockings, a little rough around the edges. I don't sew, so I am very proud of these (Can I say that?) I even made an extra one, not knowing whether or not we would be having any more children. I am so glad I made an extra one. Now I don't have to stress over making one more. My friend is going to put Brody's name on his & then we'll hang it with the rest. These stockings hang in our entry way & are more for decoration purposes. We have stockings that hang in the family room & Santa fills those. I had my father in law stitch vinyl pockets on the stockings & I have placed pictures of each of us with Santa. Then the pictures can be changed from year to year (or not). Putting these up tonight makes me want to get the rest of our stuff out. One more week! Have you decked your house out yet?

Nah. I have to wait for the weekend. I was hoping to do it before Bunko. I may get a few things out so then my house will have some lingering Thanksgiving things as well as Christmas. Who knows! I just have to get my house cleaned and the mountain of laundry put away first!!
So cute. Our house is only half done. However, looking at our tree today, I have decided that I'm buying a new tree after Christmas. I want a pre-lit one with tons of white lights. Our poor tree. It's only decorated halfway up because of a very curious one year old. It really is kind of pathetic.
Those are so cute! Brad hung Christmas lights out on Saturday and we pulled out all the decorations Thursday so we could put them up Saturday. I love Christmas, but I'm not one to 'go all out' with the decorating. It usually takes me about an hour (with kids helping) to get all the decorations out. We're going Saturday morning to get our tree! We can't wait!
very cute! the other (okay, like two weeks ago) night i went to the store and came home and shawn had brought all the christmas boxes in--the kids had the stuff everywhere and it was intermingles with the halloween decor that had not been taken down yet...i have some work to do!
I love the stockings! I made some for our family last year and made #6 too just in case. This is my favorite time of year and as soon as Thanksgiving morning hits I start celebrating Christmas.
