chicken dinner (had to steal that from Mer-thanks Mer). So I am a day late posting our winners. Hope you'll forgive me. I have been trying to catch up on life, namely sleep. I helped out with inventory down @ Green Tangerines on Monday night. I started @ 5 pm & got home & 5 am. It goes fast when you work with some amazing girls! Fun to catch up & giggle with lovely friends. It is amazing what fun, little, yellow post it notes can add to an evening...uuummm Mer & kinsey were hilarious...covered from head to toe in Yellow post it notes. i don't think they will ever give up those photos. I would love to have one for my blog-LOL! I've been busy wrapping up the final details for the church Christmas party. I will be breathing easy Saturday evening @ about 10 pm...can't wait! Enjoyed a fun evening with the girls last night,. We played Bunko! Thanks for hosting Steph!

and the winners are...

Let me start off by saying, you are all winners in my book. Thanks for playing along. I enjoyed reading your answers. I asked Tanner to draw the winners tonight & he insisted that I take a turn drawing the names & he would take the pictures. Please ignore the lack of makeup & the messy hair. I guess you can't see my hair in the photos & that means Tanner's pictures are perfect -lol! We attended Carter's basketball game tonight in a HOT gym. Then we watched Tanner's select soccer tournament in the 100 (plus) degree weather.
So... without further ado, our winners are:

Congrats ladies. Tami, you won the Teresa Collins Halloween collection & HolleAnn, you will receive the Christmas collection. Tami, I will hand deliver yours to you. HolleAnn, please email your home address @ doeraimi@gmail.com.

I hope every ones weekend has gotten off to a fabulous start.

Winner & other random things(recipe included)

We have a winner(s). We couldn't just pick one...we picked two! I will make another set of cards in the next day or two! Our winners are:

Congrats ladies! Annie M. & Julie, will you please email me your home addresses @ doeraimi@gmail.com

We enjoyed a fun FHE in the park with some friends tonight. Thanks for organizing it Steph. We were all asked to bring a treat to share & filled water balloon's. Now, if you know my boys, you know that this was an awesome FHE & right up their alley. Treats & water balloons, what else could you ask for? Everybody had fun taking turns using the water balloon launchers & some of the kids had a great time catching them in the outfield. It was hilarious to watch & all the Dads even got in on the action. We played Bocce ball, the kids played on the playground & there was even a soccer game going on. Did I mention that all of the treats were yummy :)? I love the shot of Brody below, he is pointing to the water balloons flying in the air.

I thought I would share the recipe for the yummy treats I made to share tonight. This recipe is from my friend Jan. ***Meridee & Jan, this is the one I was talking about.
Marshmallow Krispie Bars

1 pkg. brownie mix (one that make a 9 X 13 pan)
1 pkg. (10 1/2 oz.) mini marshmallows
1 1/2 cups of semi sweet chocolate chips
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 T. butter
1 1/2 cups of Rice Krispies
Grease 9 X 13 pan. Prepare & make brownies according to pkg. directions. Remove from oven. Sprinkle marshmallows over the top of hot brownies. Return to oven-bake 3 min. longer. Place chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter in saucepan. Cook on low heat, stirring constantly until chips are melted. Add rice cereal. Mix well. Spread mixture over mellows. Refrigerate until set. Cut into bars. Enjoy.

This is where my baby can be found if we don't catch him fast enough.
Yep, he crawled up there all by himself. He LOVES to crawl up on the counters...the coffee table...the kitchen table...the computer desk, etc... Do you see the higher counter behind him, that is what he has to get over to get down on the regular counter, never a dull moment with this boy. All of the kitchen chairs are on their backs shoved under the table. It is totally annoying but a solution that seems to work (for now anyways).
We played @ a new water park today. The boys loved this park. It has a huge playground, a toddler playground, & a water area. The water part is smaller than the park we normally go to but all of my boys agreed that the playground was so much fun. I am sure we will be heading to this park more often. We have our niece, Ciara playing with us for the next few days. She will tell you that she is a tomboy, so I think she loves the playtime with our boys. I asked Tanner to stop so I Could take his picture today & I believe he said something along the lines of "I'll pose for you". This is what I got. Silly boy.

The count down is on. There are only two weeks left before school starts. Where did the summer go? I have mixed feeling about school starting so soon but after a morning like this morning, It can't start soon enough.

I have been experiencing major pain for about 5 days now. I had to go back to the dentist after I returned home from Chicago. My dentist had to re-do the impression for a crown. Mind you, I already sat in that dentist chair for 3 hours the first time around. In order to get another impression, he had to un-do the entire temporary crown, take the impression & then re-do the temp. crown. UUGHHH, another 2 1/2 hours @ the dentist. At one point, I heard the dentist say"oh, this is not good...this has never happened to to me before". Those are never great words to hear when your mouth is propped wide open with your dentist's hands in there. Apparently, he got a tool (I am pretty sure he said it was a screwdriver) lodged in there & was holding my jaw while trying to yank the tool out with his free hand. It took him a good 3-5 minutes(it felt like eternity) of yanking before it finally came out. The right side of my face hurts from my jaw to my forehead. I am not excited to have the permanent crown set any time soon. Wish me luck!
What have you been up to & are you looking forward to school starting? Be honest :)!

Summer happenings & some winners

We have had another fun filled week & it is only Wednesday night. Garrett started swim lessons on Monday. He looks forward to his lessons each morning. He is such a little dare devil & very much so a free spirit. There are 4 boys in his group & two teachers. He is supposed to sit on the edge & wait for his turn. Every time the instructor turns around, he wiggles his way back into the water & just smiles. It has become a game. I am thinking "what a little stink pot".

I love this picture of him. The sun was so bright, he couldn't keep his eyes open.

Yesterday we headed over to the local library to see the Science Wizard. This was a free show hosted by the Friends of the Library. I had logged on to this guys website before hand & saw that his cheapest party package was a $195.00 & we totally got to see it for free. He performed cool science experiments for a full hour. He entertained the crowd by: using fire, melting things, forming solids, melting his girlfriend,Sheila's head (a Styrofoam head) with acid, & blowing large quantities of bubbles. He held the boys attention for the entire hour, so you know he was good. Brody on the other hand, was not so good. When the kids would clap or laugh, he would join in @ a higher octave. He is so loud. We watched the show from the big glass windows (on the outside). We sure do LOVE our new library.

Today was another action packed day. We started it off @ the pool for Garrett's swim lessons. He worked hard today on his kicks & BIG scooper's. He is getting the hang of the swimming thing. After the lessons, we met up with some friends @ the local bowling alley. Steph & Lisa found out about these cards for the kids that allows them to bowl any weekday during the summer, for free. The shoe rentals were even free too! Between the three families, we have a total of 11 boys with us! Crazy, good times. The Moms decided to bowl too! I can't even remember the last time I bowled. So much fun! I wasn't good @ it...but I had a great time. Garrett was cracking me up. He was trying to throw the bowling ball like you would throw a baseball. After the bowling excursion, we headed over to the Parker's for a BBQ & swimming (thanks for hosting Lisa). These boys did not stop for 2 1/2 hours. John was tossing them all in the pool & helping them do flips. It was another great summer day!

And now on to the winners from the last post. Thank you all for playing. Again, it is fun to read your comments. My trusty assistants were willing & able to help pick names. They also drew which prize everyone would win. I wrote a couple of my favorite things down & then the boys would pick the favorite thing & then a name. The winners are (in no particular order):

Congrats ladies! I will pop you prizes in the mail by the end of the week. Steph & Jacque, you won a Kit of the week from Green Tangerines. I will see what they have in store tomorrow & email you with your choices.
Enjoy the sunshine!

And the winners are:

We have a couple of winners! The boys really enjoyed pulling winner from the cookie jar. They would have picked each & every one of you! Thank you so much for sharing your favorite traditions & the things you love about December/Christmas. I really enjoyed reading each one of them. I am going to add a few to our already existing family traditions thanks to each of you! Just in case the pictures are hard to see, Julianne, Annie P, & Laurie are the winners. Congrats ladies, I will get your surprises to you in the next day or so.
We decorated our tree this evening. Carter made sure the music was on & they were excited to dig into their own ornament boxes. So much fun! Things are beginning to look a lot like Christmas. I love this time of year.
