our life...project life style
I am recording our lives, one picture at a time. I have decided to continue on with Project Life. I have started capturing our world(2012) for the 3rd year in a row via Project Life. Here is a little glimpse of what we have been up to this week!

Moe tied the knot! She and Mr. Brown were beaming from ear to ear! We are so happy for them!

The San Francisco 49er's made the playoffs. They played the New York Giants. We have four 49er loving little boys. I guess it is really 5...I should include John in that count. They wore their shirts to show their love. By the end of the night, I had 5 really bummed out boys! The 49ers were soooooo close to going to the Super Bowl. *Note to self: Don't try to take a picture of the boys as the doorbell rings. They all wanted to bolt(minus Tanner) to answer the door :-). Aunt Heidi and the girls came to watch the game with us and have dinner.

Monday, January 23, 2012I have been busy working on layouts for Green Tangerines. Today's project was the Feb. GT Kit Club sketch layout! You can check out the other design team members work here.

Tuesday, January 24, 2012Finally!!! A calm, down day at home. There were NO errands to be run and I loved it! Brody and I hung out at home. I was able to get some much needed cleaning done. Not my idea of a down day but the house looked great when I was done.

Carter earned the highest rank that he could as a Cub Scout! He received the Arrow of Light award tonight! We are so proud of him. Our good friend Jason made these Arrow of Light plaques for each of the boys. They turned out awesome! Thanks, Jason.

GNO with friends! This month we went bowling! It was 80's themed...think BIG hair! It was optional to dress up and go all out with your hair. I didn't have good, big hair in the 80 's and I certainly don't have it in 2012 :-). I went as my current self. We all picked 80's names for our bowling screen names. I was Gem :-). I haven't decided what photo will actually represent the activity in our book so I am sharing both.

Our Friday night was filled with basketball games...3 of them, right in a row. The boys all played great. Carter was on FIRE tonight! He started the game out by laying this shot up...right into the basket. Look at the air he caught. This game came down to the wire. It was 27-30, we were trailing. With 10 seconds to go, our coach calls a time out. He tells the boys that there is enough time lefft to tie it up. Carter listened and delivered. Carter got the ball during the last 5 seconds of the game. He headed down the court and shot a 3 point basket right before the buzzer. The crowd went wild. It was a tied ball game. 30-30. We went into a 2 minute over time and Carter immediately nailed another 3. They boys were pumped up and weren't going down without a fight. They ended up winning 36-31. It was an awesome game to watch! Way to go team BOLTS!

John and I were up at 5 am. Out the door by 6 am. Enjoying a session at the Sacramento Temple at 7 am. We were home by 9:45 am. We made a goal to attend the Temple at least once a month. Happy to have checked the first month off of the list. I am so thankful to have a Temple that is located so close to home. We are already setting our date for February!

project life photo 10.19.2011
John and I had the chance to attend the Sacramento Temple with our ward family tonight. We rode over to the Temple with our friends, Patti and Greg. Riding to and from the Temple was such a treat. It was fun to visit. We attended the 8 pm session so we didn't get out of there until 10:15 pm. I knew I wanted a picture of the Temple all lit up as my picture of the day. Well, we had so much fun chatting and tailgating that as soon as I grabbed my camera, they started turning the lights off. Totally my luck. It is still gorgeous, minus a few of the lights.

We couldn't leave until we captured a self portrait. This one totally made me smile. I am so thankful that we were able to attend the Temple and I am really thankful for wonderful friends.

project life
This little calendar is what will represent May 31, 2011 in my Project Life album.

I am still going strong with my daily workouts. I did not miss a single workout this month(I go M-F). I am attending Fit Club at Fitness MD each morning. I love that it has become a habit, part of my daily routine. I may not love how I feel during some of my workouts but I definitely love how I feel after I have completed my workout. My clothes are baggy and I am discovering new muscles that I never knew existed on my body. There are some days on this calendar that I thought I should have given myself two gold stars...just for simply showing up and completing the workout. Some days are harder than others but I am sticking with it and getting it done.

a little of this. a little of that.
The days are moving by way too fast. Life is super busy and super fun. I am truly blessed. I thought I would share our last week, Project Life style. I am still taking a photo of something each day that represents what I want my family to remember about the year 2010.

I have been serving in the Young Woman's program at church for almost a year now. I teach the 16 - 18 year old girls. I love spending time with them and hearing about their lives and adventures. I usually create some type of handout each week that goes with the lesson. This weeks lesson was all about making wise choices. 2010 will go down in my memory as the handout year.

A selfie taken in the car on our anniversary! We are getting pretty good at taking our own pictures -LOL! John and celebrated 14 years of wedded bliss. The day was its normal busy self...soccer practices, homework with the boys, chores, etc... We were able to escape that evening. We went out to dinner and just enjoyed each other.
Tuesday, September 21, 2010

We were able to help welcome home our friend,Elder T.J. Gibson. He has spent the last two years of his life in Brazil serving a mission for our church(The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints). John had the chance to get to know him in the Young men's program. Our boys love and look up to T.J.. It was a very emotional homecoming...especially catching that first glimpse of T.J. at the top of the escalator at the airport.

Green Tangerines is back in business. A big HOORAY in my book. I am back on board designing the Kit of The Week. Here is a little peek at this weeks kit. It is a Back to School theme. I designed it last week but it looks like it will be released as this weeks kit. I am already creating another layout for next week...think Summer highlights/favorites.

I am not quite sure if I want to remember this stage in life but it surely needs to be documented. Someday, I will hopefully look back on this week with Brody and laugh. Mr. Brody has been into everything. The latest victims were a bag of powdered doughnuts, my white scrapbook table(with black permanent ink), half a bottle of laundry soap, and the top drawer in my bathroom(think make up, tooth paste...oh my!!!!)

Today was the first recognition assembly of the new school year. Garrett received the responsibility award. It was a surprise to him and we were glad that we were there to cheer him on. This is what his teachers(he has two. They split the week up) had to say about him.
"Garrett is a very responsible student. He can be counted on to do his best work, and is a good example to those around him. Garrett is a class leader, and we are lucky to have him in our class." Way to GO Garrett.

{this isn't my actual Project Life photo...waiting to receive the big group shot that we took before leaving. These are a few of the cute kids from our group at the beach}
I had the chance to camp over night with the youth from our ward. We headed to Dillon Beach right after school on Friday and came home Saturday afternoon. It was a quick 24 hours. I think there were about 40 kids and 10 leaders who went. We enjoyed a camp fire, great meals, camp songs, birthday cupcakes for Kendal, capture the flag till midnight on the sand dunes, cows roaming through our camp and mooing into the wee hours of the morning, not sleeping very well, games on the beach, photo ops and the treasured Slurpee's on the way home. I am very thankful for those friends who helped get our children to and from soccer games while I was away & while John was with Tanner at his San Francisco tournament.
It has been aother great week at the Krupp house.

Project Life
The days of Summer are zipping right on by. Blogging seems to take a back seat(as it should) while the boys are home for Summer vacation. I don't want to fall behind in documenting our days :-). We are having a great time and enjoying every lazy day that we can pull off. See for yourself....Project Life style

Lots of bowling. My friend, Eve gave us some free passes for the local bowling alley. We have been 3 times this week. Brody even gets in on the action. It is hilarious to watch him bowl.

The older boys and I were able to enjoy a fun afternoon on the lake with the youth from our church. It was a HOT Cali day so this was the perfect escape.

Lots of swimming! We are trying to get this little boy to enjoy the water. He is very reserved when it comes to the swimming pool. It boggles our mind...he loves the bathtub but will not venture into the pool. We have made it to the 3rd step and were surprised to see him creep along the wall.

Carter had a weekend soccer tournament in Folsom, CA.. At the end of the game we headed over to the Sacramento Temple. It is always a beautiful sight to see and even more so at dusk. Love the calm, peaceful feeling I get just by being on the grounds.

Carter's team had an awesome weekend on the fields despite the 100 plus degree weather. Notice the Mohawk on Carter :-). This has become his little ritual for the first tournament of the season. He grows his hair out all Summer long just for this weekend. These were their first official games of the season(they have been practicing for a month and a half). They beat Rocklin 5 to 1 to take the whole tournament. Sweet Victory.

Loved having my parents visit for the day. John and I gave talks in Sacrament meeting and my parents came to cheer us on and sit with the boys. We had Linner(late lunch/early dinner) so they could hit the road by 4 pm to go visit my Grandma Pung. She is in the hospital with a broken pelvis. Wishing her a speedy recovery.

sums up the last week.
Here is a little glimpse of what our week has looked like.

Our family was hit hard and fast by a nasty little flu virus. I ended up with it. Happy to report that I am feeling much better today. Not a 100 percent better... but much better. 5 out of the 6 of us came down with it. Knocking on wood that John remains healthy.

i am loving this project. you may remember that i was on board with project 365 {a picture a day} last year. i missed out on purchasing the 2009 kit. it sold out in a matter of minutes. i was able to get my hands on a 2010 kit. i am loving this simple way of documenting our lives. here are our a "picture a day" photos from the last week or so.
{friday, february 5, 2010}
the school has started a new club. it is the move it club. they are encouraging the children to walk/bike to school each friday. tanner is the leader for our route to school. brody & i have been joining in on the fun.

{monday, februaury 8, 2010}
every monday, after school, tanner & carter participate in the chess club. they get to practice their chess skills & play a few games against other students at the school. they have loved participating in this club.
{tuesday, february 9, 2010}
brody is totally into dressing himself these days. it may look like he just got out of bed...this was an afternoon pick. he came out of his room, after lunch wearing this get up -LOL. christmas jammies {pants on inside out} and a snow hat...what is not to love about jammies & a snow hat, mid day :-)?
{wednesday, februaury 10, 2010}
wednesdays are my days to help in the boys classrooms. i have had the chance to be the art docent for tanner & carter's classrooms this year. on this particular wednesday, i taught art to carter's class. this project was a fun one. the children pencil sketched a horse & then they traced it with elmer's glue. we let it dry & then they colored their horses in with pastel chalks. all of the projects turned out great...wonderful details and vibrant colors.
{thursday, february 11, 2010}
cookies by the dozens for valentine's day. we shared them with friends, neighbors & the boys teachers.
{friday, february 12, 2010}
today was filled with lots of parties, sugar, and valentines for and from friends. garrett came home wearing this darling little valentine get up & had a kiss for me. we love kindergarten.
{saturday, februaury 13, 2010}
john & i were able to escape for a much needed date night. my sister in laws(thanks tina & petra) watched the boys. john & i went to dinner & a movie. we saw valentines day. it was really cute...perfect date night movie. it was fun to to relax & enjoy some time with my sweetie. another famous self portrait in the car :-).
{sunday, february 14, 2010}
one of the many attempts to get a cute valentine's photo of the boys. i love them so much!
{monday, februaury 15, 2010}
today was the first day of baseball practice. feeling a little overwhelmed. we are still playing basketball(3 out of the 4) & now we are on to baseball practices. tanner & carter are on the same team this year. they are excited to be playing together, again. i am so glad they have each other. they are good friends & i love that they are close in age. i am not sure how i am feeling about being on the yankees :-). this nor cal mama grew up watching /loving the giants.
i am taking about 20 minutes each week to put my photos into the album & to get my journaling down on the little cards. so far, so good. i am staying caught up. by years end, we will have an accurate glimpse of our 2010.
