This is this weeks, Kit of the Week for Green Tangerines. It is My Little Bicycles new fall line. The colors are perfect for Fall...I am in love. When I was putting this layout together (late at night), I realized that I didn't have any recent photos printed in a 5X7 size. I started digging through my photo boxes and stumbled upon this photo from 2008. I got a little teary eyed...look how little my boys are!!! Brody looks so tiny. I will be using this layout as the title page, for our 2008 family album. At a quick glance, you can see and get a sense for how big/little the boys were. When the layout is returned to me, I will add the journaling with little snippets that will highlight our 2008. As usual, you can purchase this kit from Green Tangerines(916-771-8010) for $8.00. I have completed 37 Kit of the Weeks(so far) for 2011. Are you keeping up on your kits? If so, you should have 37 completed scrapbook pages. Not bad, one layout a week will get your year scrapped :-).

doing what I love

I am still scrapbooking. I am thankful for this creative outlet and for the job that I have. I came home from Green Tangerines with another stack of completed layouts. I LOVE that. I love putting those completed pages into our family albums. Here are a few of my recent Kit of the Week layouts for Green Tangerines.

first time memories

Feeling a little weepy and sad this week. My family(parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins,Grandma, nieces, nephews...the whole family) members are all headed to Hat Creek. It is the first family camping trip since Grandpa Shore passed away. Hat Creek was his favorite place to camp and fish. As I have read and seen my cousins FB statuses/updates/pictures from Hat Creek, I am feeling a little sad. Sad, that I took the responsible parent route this week. School starts tomorrow and I didn't feel like the boys could miss the first day/week of school. I know we are missing out on a great camping trip. After creating this layout for this weeks Kit of The Week for Green Tangerines, I am feeling a bit happier. I am remembering the fun memories I have of my Grandpa. These photos are of Garrett and my Grandparents, Aunt and cousin. We drove down to the Bay Area when he was just a week old so he could meet Grandpa and Grandma Shore. I am so glad I have these photos and I am even happier that they have now been scrapbooked.

brotherly love

This is this weeks Kit of the Week that can be found at Green Tangerines. New product(Jillibean Soup and LUSH alpha letters) + old(er) photos = a happy ME. I am still plugging away at our 2008 photo box and am loving that I am getting those photos onto layouts. As always, you can call Green Tangerines(916-771-8010) to order your kit. As a little side note, this kit comes with a full package of alpha letters so you can easily change the title to fit your photos/theme.

lucky

this is as close as I got to doing anything for St Patrick's Day this year. It just isn't a holiday I am ever in the mood to celebrate. Heck, I didn't even wear green today...and I didn't get pinched.

This was today's Kit of the Week release at Green Tangerines. It is very simple. I really wanted to focus on the photos and the journaling. I used the new yummy Crate Paper line. The title reads: "Lucky to have you by my side". It is exactly how I feel about John. I am so thankful to be able to share this crazy ride called life, with him by my side. I used random pictures from the last 16 years(wedding, heading off to church one Sunday, trip to Hawaii for our first anniversary, waiting for Tanner to arrive, silly Davis family photos). Each photo holds favorite memories, very vivid recollections of how I felt the moment each photo was taken. Again, so very lucky to have him in my life, by my side.

As you have celebrated St. Patrick's Day this year, what has made you feel Lucky?

latest creations

Believe it or not, I have completed a few layouts since the beginning of the new year. The weekly KOTW's and Green Tangerines Kit Club layouts are keeping me going right now. Here are a couple of my most recent layouts(these are all KOTW's).
These can be purchased for $8.00 from Green Tangerines. You can call the store at 916-771-8010. We supply the idea and supplies. You create your layout and add photos...easy peasy!

Over the last 15 years, I have tried just about every tip, trick, latest trend, and the latest and greatest gadgets/products as far as the scrapbook world goes. There are a few things I have learned about myself and my hobby. I love color. I love clean lines. I am a pretty simple scrapper. I want my photos to be noticed before all of the other things I have placed on my layouts. I want my family to feel/know my love for them through my layouts. I am a big believer in journaling on my layouts...at least the who, what, where and when. But most of all, after 15 years, I still love to scrapbook and record our memories.

I will be back in a day (or two) with my latest Green Tangerines Kit Club layouts.

{Kit of the Week}

I know we are all wrapped up in all things December...but I thought I would post my Happy Turkey Day layout. Don't you love those cute turkey's? They came right off of a sheet of pattern paper. This layout was created as last weeks Kit of the Week for Green Tangerines (916-771-8010). It was hard to pick just 4 photos from our Turkey day but I think these 4 photos represented what our day was all about...family, food and fun. I am a big fan and promoter of journaling on my layouts. I am sad to report that the journaling doesn't always find the space on my layouts. This Turkey Day layout was one of them. To solve that problem, I journaled on a separate piece of paper, cut it into strips and glued it on the the back of my layout. All of the important information about our day can be found on the back.

I will have this weeks(current)kit to share with you at the end of the week.
Think Christmas, breakfast with Santa, friends, jammies and bed head!

I love Fall. I love everything about it! This weeks Kit of the Week features an Apple Hill layout. Our family ventured up to Apple Hill for the first time last Fall. We loved it! It is the perfect Fall activity. We are hoping to make it up there next week while the boys are on their Thanksgiving break.

You can pick this kit up at Green Tangerines(916-771-8010). All of the product is included. You put it together and add your photos. This kit would also be great for park pictures...just change your title.

p.s. I used an Allison Davis sketch for this layout.

I think a lot about scrapbooking. Are you surprised? I didn't think so :-).
It is something that I enjoy. It is something that brings me happiness. I love to take photos...lots of photos! I like to record the thoughts and memories that accompany those photos. Scrapbooking has been become the perfect outlet for all of those things. I love it when my boys pull the albums out and look through them. There are lots of "I remember that" and "that was fun"!

I am often asked how I find the time to scrapbook. People often comment that they are too busy to scrapbook. I can guarantee you that I am kind of busy too. I just make a point to do the things I enjoy, even if it means staying up late. I have been busy creating the weekly KIT OF THE WEEK for Green Tangerines. I have seen, first hand how my albums are filling up just by completing a layout a week. The photos on the Halloween layout(see below)were from the year 2000...10 years old. I just got around to scrapping them :-). I figure as long as I am taking the mass amounts of photos that I do on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis...I will never be caught up :-). I enjoy the process and that is all that matters.

If you are looking for a place to start, check out Green Tangerines. The kits from Green Tangerines come with a color photo of the weeks layout and all of the product needed to create that layouts. On top of the weekly kits, we are getting ready to launch the yearly calendar pages. Some type of thing...kits ready to go. All you have to do is add your photos.

Here are a few of the most recent Kit of the Weeks.

Happy Scrapbooking!

Not one...but TWO!!!

Kit of the Weeks, that is! I have been busy creating new KOTW's for Green Tangerines.

First up, Summer Moments. I used the new Echo Park pattern papers, Thickers, Maya Road ribbon, and some Bazzill. Each kit comes with all the product to create this two page layout. Notice the little happy sun and fluffy clouds...all hand cut for each kit by yours truly :-).

Up next, Back to School

New BoBunny(pattern paper & stamped images), American Crafts Thickers, and Bazzill(cardstock and brads).
If you are interested in these kits, you can call Green Tangerines at 916-771-8010. I am so happy they are back in business.

a little of this. a little of that.

The days are moving by way too fast. Life is super busy and super fun. I am truly blessed. I thought I would share our last week, Project Life style. I am still taking a photo of something each day that represents what I want my family to remember about the year 2010.

I have been serving in the Young Woman's program at church for almost a year now. I teach the 16 - 18 year old girls. I love spending time with them and hearing about their lives and adventures. I usually create some type of handout each week that goes with the lesson. This weeks lesson was all about making wise choices. 2010 will go down in my memory as the handout year.

A selfie taken in the car on our anniversary! We are getting pretty good at taking our own pictures -LOL! John and celebrated 14 years of wedded bliss. The day was its normal busy self...soccer practices, homework with the boys, chores, etc... We were able to escape that evening. We went out to dinner and just enjoyed each other.

Tuesday, September 21, 2010

We were able to help welcome home our friend,Elder T.J. Gibson. He has spent the last two years of his life in Brazil serving a mission for our church(The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints). John had the chance to get to know him in the Young men's program. Our boys love and look up to T.J.. It was a very emotional homecoming...especially catching that first glimpse of T.J. at the top of the escalator at the airport.

Green Tangerines is back in business. A big HOORAY in my book. I am back on board designing the Kit of The Week. Here is a little peek at this weeks kit. It is a Back to School theme. I designed it last week but it looks like it will be released as this weeks kit. I am already creating another layout for next week...think Summer highlights/favorites.

I am not quite sure if I want to remember this stage in life but it surely needs to be documented. Someday, I will hopefully look back on this week with Brody and laugh. Mr. Brody has been into everything. The latest victims were a bag of powdered doughnuts, my white scrapbook table(with black permanent ink), half a bottle of laundry soap, and the top drawer in my bathroom(think make up, tooth paste...oh my!!!!)

Today was the first recognition assembly of the new school year. Garrett received the responsibility award. It was a surprise to him and we were glad that we were there to cheer him on. This is what his teachers(he has two. They split the week up) had to say about him.
"Garrett is a very responsible student. He can be counted on to do his best work, and is a good example to those around him. Garrett is a class leader, and we are lucky to have him in our class." Way to GO Garrett.

{this isn't my actual Project Life photo...waiting to receive the big group shot that we took before leaving. These are a few of the cute kids from our group at the beach}
I had the chance to camp over night with the youth from our ward. We headed to Dillon Beach right after school on Friday and came home Saturday afternoon. It was a quick 24 hours. I think there were about 40 kids and 10 leaders who went. We enjoyed a camp fire, great meals, camp songs, birthday cupcakes for Kendal, capture the flag till midnight on the sand dunes, cows roaming through our camp and mooing into the wee hours of the morning, not sleeping very well, games on the beach, photo ops and the treasured Slurpee's on the way home. I am very thankful for those friends who helped get our children to and from soccer games while I was away & while John was with Tanner at his San Francisco tournament.

It has been aother great week at the Krupp house.

the last kit of the week

here it is friends, the last kit of the week. yes, you just totally read that right.

green tangerines lost their lease this week. they have to be out of the building by march 1st. it was a shock to each & every one of us. i am pretty sure i am still in denial. i can't imagine my little community without green tangerines. it has been the mecca of scrapbooking supplies for us, the locals. it has been a place where my boys & myself feel at home. kelly, paula, and ken are always so good to my boys. green tangerines has allowed me to do what i love on a very part time basis (mostly from home during the last year)... still allowing me that sahm status. it has been the place where i have met & become very good friends with some of the most amazing & wickedly talented girls. i can't imagine going through a week with out stopping by green tangerines at least 3 times :-)...my car just seemed to automatically drive there. i can't imagine my month without a scrappy hour with fun friends. green tangerines seriously was my one stop shopping/inspiration when it came time to get my creative juices flowing. the happy visits with staff, who quickly became instant friends just made green tangerines that much more for me. they are friends who are your cheerleaders during the ups & downs of life. they are a group of girls, that i consider myself so lucky to know & call my friends. Okay, i am stopping right here. the tears are freely flowing & i just can't go here today.

on a happy note, green tangerines is having a store wide sale, 25 percent off the entire store (except for bazzill, adhesives, kit of the weeks & a few other things). kelly has even received some of the new lines from cha. the other happy note is that the green tangerines kit club will still be up & running. watch the blog for details to come at a later date.

like i said, this is the last kit of the week. if you want one,you can stop by the store or give them a call at 916.771.8010.

kotw - year in review style

here is a peek at this weeks kit of the week.

I was able to squeeze 12 photos (one for each month)on this layout. I tried to pick photos that highlighted our year. I am really loving the year in review LO's that already exist in our albums. I place them at the beginning of each album even though I created them at the end of the year. It serves as our table of contents for each album.
(Product used: American Crafts Junior line, Bazzill cardstock,Creative Imaginations tag, Fiskars Star punch, Pazzled title, ribbon & my Uni ball white pen)

This "The Year in Review" kit is available at Green Tangerines. As always, you can reach the store at 916*771*8010. If you put scrapbooking on your New years resolution list this year, this is the perfect way to get started. The product is all picked out for you. You just need a little time, adhesive & your own photos :-).

I sure hope everyone is enjoying their 2010 thus far.
I am on day SEVEN of no Diet Coke & a minimum of 45 minutes of my treadmill. I am feeling inspired & capable of doing ANYTHING!

enjoying life

We have had a super fun, busy week at our house. We have enjoyed so many little things in our little world. The older boys continue to have soccer practice 4 nights a week. Scouts for both boys. Piano lessons for Tanner. You should hear him play Jingle Bells, it sounds like Jingle Bells...I love it!!! I helped in all 3 classrooms & enjoyed the art docent lesson with Tanner's class.
I was able to be Tanner's date for his Honor Roll dinner with his classmates last night. I am so proud of Tanner & another perfect semester under his belt. I think the favorite part of the evening for the entire class was the apple cider & being able to eat in the Teachers lounge :-).

I am really looking forward to date night with John. We are seeing the midnight showing of New Moon (tonight/this morning). I am thinking I need to squeeze a nap in at some point today :-).

Loved having this little Turkey greet me with his perfected "gobble gobble" at kindergarten pick up!
note to self: this is why you carry your camera at all times!

Keeping busy in the scrapbook layout arena too! Here are my latest two designs for GT. As aways, you can call(916-771-8010) Green Tangerines to purchase yours.

kit of the week

here is a look at this weeks kit of the week from Green Tangerines.

I used a little Reminisce pattern paper, a little Crate Paper, Thickers(cause they're still a fave of mine), Bazzill cardstock & American Craft brads. I am feeling very thankful for all the blessings in my life. The last couple of weeks have been very hard. I am very grateful for my cute little family who constantly makes me smile. Grateful for loving parents. I have fantastic friends who know just what to say & do when it is needed the most. To them, I am so grateful. It is the little things that REALLY mean the most on a daily basis. I am taking the time, each day to reflect on all that is GRAND in my life.

p.s.
The pictures of the boys were taken by Chris Harder of Chris Harder Photography! We had a our yearly photo shoot with he & his wife a few weeks back. There was even a perfect family shot(or two or three or four) for our Christmas cards. YIPPEE!

kit of the week...halloween style

Here is a peek at this weeks kit of the week. Perfect way to get all of those Halloween pictures scrapped. I created this layout using the new Bo Bunny Halloween line. It was based off of Brenda's Shaving Cream layout. There is room for 8 photos. I love when I can get a ton of photos on one layout. I changed the pp, Mer created/designed our darling little ghost die cut & I added some American Craft brads. Super fun & super festive. I titled my layout HAPPY HALLOWEEN. You will get an entire package of white THICKERS in this weeks kit...so you can change the title to fit your Halloween adventures.

Hope you are having a great day! It has been a pumpkin pie(with whip cream) kind of morning around here!

p.s. if you would like a fun giggle today, check out my friend Kinsey's "today's todon'ts" post on her blog(one post after her darling new mini album)...totally made me GOL(giggle out loud) & smile. Love you Kinsey Girl :-).

I love how this one turned out. I love all of the yummy colors. Our family has never been to Apple Hill. It is on our "TO DO" list. I am so glad that Mer had some great photos of Dylan that we were able to add to LO.

{the Patch}

This LO documents our favorite Fall tradition, Bishop's pumpkin farm. It is one of our very favorite places to visit each year.

KOTW

Happy Fall! I am loving the cooler weather & the happiness that the month of October brings me. YAY for sweaters, Starbucks Carmel Apple cider, & all thing Fall-ish!

Here is a look at the Kit of the Week that was released this morning. In this kit, you will find Bazzill cardstock, American Crafts Thickers, MLS(tiny alpha letters), buttons & pattern paper by October Afternoon & KI Memories. I was able to get FOUR, 4 X 6 photos on this LO. The quote on the right reads: "The love of a FAMILY is life's best blessing". You get a pkg. of Thickers a small aplha's so you can change the title up if you want.
p.s. I used pop dots to raise random circles & everything was inked with black chalk ink.

Just for fun, here are a few LO's using the Green Tangerines Kit Club (July) product.

I love how versatile these kits are. I was able to create a wedding LO, a mini reunion LO & a 4th of July LO with one kit AND I still have product left to create more projects. You can call Green Tangerines(916-771-8010) for more information on the KOTW & GTKC if you are interested.
