Happy Halloween!

Another Halloween has come & gone! We had a great day! We were able to enjoy a fun evening with our friends. Keri & Scott had everyone over for pizza, Trick or Treating & S'mores. Can you say "Sugar Fest"?

Tradition

We love this yearly tradition. Pumpkin carving is always a big hit @ our house! There were a lot of "eeeeewwwwwsss", "that is so gross", & "yuck" as we cleaned out & carved our pumpkins! Along with those words were lots of giggles. We even put candles in them tonight to see how they looked all lit up! We are all looking forward to tomorrow night.

Scrimps & Splurges!

I have seen this on a few blogs out there & thought it was fun!
If you're reading this, you have been tagged to share your Scrimps
& Splurges.

Things I SPLURGE on:

Pedicures: I Loved getting pedicures when I was pregnant because I couldn't reach my own feet. Now I love getting them just because!

Bath & Body soaps: I love the Fresh Pineapple & Kitchen Lemon scents. I love having them in every room that has a sink! My boys love the Blueberry foam soap in their bathroom! It makes washing your hands fun to do!

Scrapbook Supplies: This is why I still have a job in this industry, need I say more??

Photos: You know you develop too many photos when the girls @ the counter know you by name & have your envelope ready for you when they see you coming!

iTunes & CD's: I love music & the emotions/ memories that I have when listening to various artists/songs.

Ornaments: Now that all of the Christmas decorations are hitting the stores, I am in heaven. I have an obsession with Christmas ornaments. I really wish I could say that I buy ONE new ornament a year. Truth is, I buy several.

Books: I don't like to wait to check out a book from the Library. I love to flip thru the pages of a brand new book. I do like to share & loan my books out to friends & family so I might be helping someone else to Scrimp in this area :).

Things I SCRIMP on:

Haircuts/color: I have a hard time paying $45.00 plus a tip to get my hair done. I won't even go into the cost of getting my hair colored. So, my color comes out of a box from Target.

Haircuts for the boys: With four boys, John & I are learning how to cut their hair. It will sure save us money thru the years.

Greeting Cards: I refuse to buy/pay for a greeting card. This is where my splurge on scrapbook supplies comes in handy! I can make my own.

Make Up: Since I don't wear very much make up, I buy the basics @ Target.

Clothes: I don't know if this counts as scrimping, but I love to find deals on clothes for myself & the boys! I used to hit the sale rack @ Baby Gap once a week when Tanner & Carter were babies & scored some major deals. Now I just don't have the time once a week to do that.

I am sure I will think of more. If I do, I will add to this post later!
Have a fun day!

Trunk or Treat

Whew-it's over. What a fun night. I am the activities committee chair at church. I am in charge (along with my committee) of throwing all of the parties at church. I normally love to throw parties and get togethers. I like all of the fun planning and crafty things that go along with parties. This party throwing for the whole ward is on whole other level. We planned the Trunk or Treat activity for about 300 people. Lots of time and planning went into this party. John and are so grateful and thankful that my parents were able to come up and help us with soccer games and the boys during Trunk or Treat. Thanks Mom and Dad. I think everyone had a great time. I know our boys sure did. I think I saw Garrett once during the entire evening(that's why I don't have any pictures of him). Everyone enjoyed the bounce houses, a hot dog dinner, cotton candy, face painting, a cake walk with unlimited cupcakes, fishing for prizes, hay rides, a costume parade and of course Trunk or Treat. It was a great night. We all crashed when we got home & slept very well. Now I am moving right along and am gearing up for our Christmas party. Are you ready Camie :)? Have a great Sunday.

Bishops Pumpkin Farm -Take Two

The older boys have been wanting to go to the pumpkin patch to pick out their pumpkins & to enjoy all of the fun. I figured if we didn't go today it just wasn't going to happen this year. I feel like I am running around like a crazy lady this week. I am trying to get everything ready for our Wards Trunk or treat. It is a Halloween party for about 300 people. Things are crazy. John worked late so I ventured out there by myself with all four. We had a great time & enjoyed all of the activities @ the pumpkin patch. I am still trying to learn how to chase a 3 year old, hold a 5 month old & get decent pictures all @ the same time. Any tips???? I'll leave you with a few of my favorite shots from today!

Rock Star??? and Weekend Update!

Carter was on the family room floor with Brody and I heard him say "Brody, you need to put your Rock Star glasses on". I go to check on them and this is what I find! We are wondering which Rock Star Carter has been listening to??? Carter cracks us up! He is so tender with Brody and is always trying to entertain him (see above pictures). I am so thankful that my boys love each other.
My birthday weekend was fabulous. Thank you for the birthday wishes and kind gestures. My parents came up on Saturday and watched the boys soccer games. Tanner and Carter's teams both won. They are still both undefeated and loving it. Carter scored one goal and Tanner scored two with several assists. Then my Mom and Dad took me shopping and I got to pick out my birthday present. Thanks Mom and Dad, I love my new sweater and matching necklace. I can't wait to wear them! We got home and John and the boys had been out shopping. They had a cake with candles and presents ready for me. They sang happy birthday to me with the cha-cha-cha's and all. It was very sweet. We had a great weekend. I love birthdays! Thanks everyone!

What's for dinner?

Mr. Brody had rice cereal for the first time last night. He was so good about eating the cereal. He opened his mouth right up & swallowed it down. Tanner, Carter, & Garrett all gagged on cereal for the first week. Not Brody! He would see the spoon coming & get excited. We tried it again tonight & he loved it! I hope he likes the veggies next week :).
